Was married to my wife for almost 40 years when I woke up to find her conscious but unresponsive. Had to have life support suspended 24 hours later. I have no idea how to handle this. It has been the worst three weeks of my life so far and don't know if I can survive another three weeks.

Dannyj Like you I was married over 30 years, For me it is like someone just grabbed him away, no good by no nothing, Danny he was my better half, I will go through those GOLDEN YEARS alone now, I never realized how bad a loss like this was, I feel bad that I did not realize the degree of suffering others had gone through, after the funeral everybody goes back to day to day life and I stand hear saying Oh my God life as I know it is over. Oh Danny. My heart goes out to you. I also had to have life support suspended o. My husband. I just thought he'd go to sleep, but he was kind of alert for his last 24 hours. It made me second guess every discussion I had made for him even though he had a DNR. My prayers for you.
