It's really hard to be depressed in this town. Folks round these here parts don't take kindly to that sorta thing.

Today was day 4 0r 5 of what I've been told is literally the largest art festival in the world.

there is always something going on here if you just venture outside your front door. There are all kinds of free concerts, free public dance parties, cook outs, games etc. not just on the weekends but two or three week day evenings as well.

Among the many things I saw and did today was A really unique idea this guy has been doing for a couple of years now. It seemed a little weird at first till I head him explain what was going on. He had this great big tack board and he was passing out nails for people to stick into it??? He explained that there were x-thousand nails in that board. And every single one was put in by a different person. Then he pointed to a picture of a beautiful landscape painting, and said this is the one I did last year and told people how to get to the building where it was displayed. It was a 24x36 painting done entirely by hand on the heads of nails that covered this board
and every one of those nails had been put in by a different person.

Next year I'll be able to say I was part of that too.

Yes and I had the pleasure of sharing it with many thousands of other people. In a polite friendly atmosphere.

So now the question becomes how do we make this thing global ? ? ?
