I have been on Seroquel for three years or so and can only speak positively about it. I take it at bedtime to promote sleep but I found that it quieted the tornado in my head. You know those thoughts that roar through over and over and over.
.but I have heard from others telling about negative effects. What has been your response?
Sroquel may in fact be one of those drugs that affects how sugar is absorbed into the cells, allowing more sugar to remain in the blood stream, IE high blood sugars and diabetes. For sure that is one side effect that takes close monitoring.
Because that sugar does not get into the cells appropriately your body is always screaming for fuel. So you can always be hungary. I have been able to be contol most of this by increasing the amount of protein I eat. I have become a diabetic type 2 and do take medicine for it. thanks for sharing that
