What was the final moment of realization that it was just never going to work and that it was over?
For my mother it was when he served her papers right before her birthday.
When I asked if he liked who he was when he was cheating and his response was "You mean that I was a good father?" I realized he was still in denial about the impact of his actions.
When he realized he couldn't make me cry anymore, so he woke our 11 year old daughter at 2 am on a school night and made her cry to make me feel bad and himself better.
When I saw in the divorce papers that she was taking back the last name of her previous husband instead of her maiden name.
lol ! the day the neighbours were over and the ex had pounded two bottles of wine into herself and she made this statement " it's ok when i leave i am going to take him for half of everything he has " this was just over a year into our marriage and less than nine months after we bought a house .
When I read the email he had sent to his girlfriend about me, that she had forwarded on to me.
When I confronted him with the message of him calling some other women his angel. I said to him "cheating on me is not an option and I didn't know what you are going to do now." He got angry and said "You are not even going to fight for me" I said no I have to go get our child from school and I left.
For me it was the moment we got in a fight and after 14 years of marriage she told me she never loved me I was just the best option and now she had found a better option and she walked out on me the kids the animals and just left everything like none of us even mattered. She never looked back or came back to get anything or anyone.
