I love this... I think it was something I very much needed to see, thank you a lot for finding and posting it. You're quite the marvelous person, you know, so in spite of the difficulties in life, I'm very glad you still want to be you.

I love it. I can completely relate. You can only be you...everyone else is taken.

The sad thing is the words are so true, that's my life in those words. Thank you for sharing

Thanks for sharing thats pretty much my life

Thank you for posting this. It is the story of my life too. I guess it is common among us here. They are the reasons why we are here. And it is true the world needs people like us. Else it will end in savagery. We are the ones that take all the bullshit that the world has to give. The ones that the smart alecs think as suckers. The ones that the greedy think ought to be milked without guilt. In actual fact, we are the unsung super heroes. The supermen and wonderwomen that has the superpower that can take all these toxicities and survive it. So let us battle on, my dear heroes.

Thank you....I needed that today.

I needed to hear this too. Been thinking about revenge lately. I get so sick of being walked on. But you're right.

So true, I too have been alienated from family, even one son spreads lies and I gave him everything. I'm tired of being the scapegoat.

I finally told my other son who lives with me that I was tired of him laying on the couch basically doing nothing but using me. He's the only one in the family left who will talk with me but he's 37 years old, no job, nothing, and uses the excuse that he's helping me, lives free of rent and eats all my food. Plays video games on computer when not watching tv and does heroin. I am on oxygen 24/7 and am sick quite a bit but I finally called the police on him when he went off on me again about 1 1/2 hours ago. Thanks, I had to vent I am so tired of being used and manipulated, I'd rather be alone and take my chances. Rebecca

the world without us would be what ii is, we are the ones that need to stay in it and use all the empathy and loving we have learned from being the odd one out to help those who are not fortunate enough to have anyone else to help them.

I have found the more I give to my sons, the more they take advantage of me. This is something I don't understand.

@inkspotbedot
This is called milking you, like a cow. My uncle was a weathly man with 4 sons. They didnt achieve much in life. But they milked their father till he was dry. He was silly to give away his wealth to his sons, while still alive and healthy, thinking it was to be their inheritance anyway. He became incapacitated by a stroke and was pushed around by his sons as to who was to take care of him. He ended up in the old folks home and passed away within a few years. One day he was strong like a bull, I met him chatted with him during a cousin’s wedding. The next day he was incapacitated, and 3-4 years later just gone. Everyone felt sorry that he was penniless while his sons battle among themselves who was to take care of him. Moral of the story, dont let your children milk you. Tell them they are too old to be fed milk.

Well said. If I ever talk to them again will do. I had to learn twice!

Why? I feel like I have felt this way at an earlier point in my life, but now I completely disagree. Do away and shun those who bring you down. You are fooling yourself in my opinion.

I like the quote "there are no victims, only volunteers." Only from your own center of love and self respect can you give to others. If they don't respect YOU, they are not worthy of your mutual respect. The book The Giving Tree which I used to read to my kids was a great example.
