Why can't I do this! I have 3 young boys 6, 4, and 2. The 6 year old is VERY stubborn, defiant, argues with everything that comes out of my mouth. Like litterally EVERYHHING. E bullies me which makes my kind 4 year old see this and go im his side... I feel terrorized! I can't put my foot down! I ultra sensitive and couldn't STAND their feelings getting hurt! I need HELP with assertiveness! I never had it! I don't even LIKE BEING ASSERTIVE ! I pathetic !
Deep breath...YOU CAN DO THIS! Do the boys have a positive male role model in their lives? If not, you should consider contacting a group like Big Brothers. It really helped my brother when he was that age.
Just remember that YOU are in charge, not your six year old son. Take privileges away from him when he acts out. Has he had any behavior problems at school?
