Yearly Scans

I am about to have my annual C.T. scan but find myself getting anxious about it. Any suggestions to learn to relax?

Only relaxation technique I know is breath in thru the nose and purse your lips and exhale slowly while picturing yourself being in a place that you feel relaxed in. ie floating on an air mattress at the lake, sunning yourself in the back yard, riding in the car ect.

You will be nervous for the first few scans because you are afraid it will come back. With time you will trust that it is gone and relax, only time makes it better. Good luck! Keep us posted! ((HUGS))

I've been known to pray a little during mine, not for good results per se, but just conversation. I mean when I'm in the tube, I really can't use the excuse 'talk to you later!' This always calms me down because I believe I am not alone in any of this. Take care, KBeale

I find it helps to get into different surroundings. Go visit friends & family. Best of luck to u!!!

Invite a best friend over...have a dinner party..Get out of the house.
Having too much time to think is our worst enemy.
Go out for a dinner and movie?
