Yep . . . the hormone connection between exacerbation of Meniere's disease symptoms and women's premenstruation :

I started my period this morning and yesterday my tinnitus and related symptoms (which could be ascribed to Meniere's disease if I have it) were off the hook. Well, hopefully as I bring homeostasis to my body and continue to "fix" it, these flare ups will diminish . . . hopefully I will meet with an ENT doctor that can diagnose . . . and this will hopefully enable me to get into a Neurotologist. Don't want to lose my hearing . . .

wow, I just thought this morning, interesting last couple of month my Meniere's "coincidentally" got worse with the start of my period...

@livingwithcomplexPTSD So happy to make this connection and just had to share! Doesn’t help us with finding something to diminish overall . . . but it’s helping me understand the symptoms more. I’m going to focus on making sure I’m very hydrated (though I was super hydrated), and hopefully as I balance my hormones I will have fewer flareups. Also, I’ve been hesitant to take any medication for the symptoms, but maybe I will for just a couple days during the pms to skip the increased symptoms (if they help). Cheers
