i am desperately looking for an AA style (12 step), live, face to face, Video Game Addicion support group in the LA area. any hints?
help much appreciated.

I hope that you will find SupportGroups.com to be helpful in your journey to overcoming your addiction, while I couldn't find a meeting in LA for you that was face to face I did find Online Gamers Anonymous, http://www.olganon.org/, and they do online chat meetings, so it is a little closer to what you are looking for.
