@Veronica47 The conversations with Mom are getting more confused. i have to piece together in my mind who she is talking about. It is hard to watch someone who was once so smart to deteriorate this way. Same thing with my Aunt who passed away almost 3 years ago.
@zee4ward I understand. I had to watch my mother slip further and further away as her dementia got worse. I still talked to her. I still hugged her. And now I so miss her. Please be good to yourself. Find a touch of joy each day.
Anyone know of a nearby CARE Givers support group (DEMENTIA ) in NE FLA (JACKSONVILLE) Would like suggestion , any tips on dealing with it and progression rate / rate of decline. 9th year on DONEPEZILL 10 mg.
@Billcamp join Alzconnected.org…it is a message board for caregivers of those with dementia and Alzheimer’s. The people there are very supportive and have information galore! I am there as VKB.
