How hard was your breastfeeding journey?
What are the different stages? Does it get harder? Does it take it’s toll on you emotionally? (No energy/not being able to concentrate?)
It has been a long time since I was at that stage, but it wasn’t hard so much as tiring. Your sister just had a baby correct? I cannot recommend enough that she see a lactation specialist, through here LaLeche or through the hospital she delivered at. I did that with my first, it was very helpful. It does take a toll though, I tried pumping but honestly that didn’t work so well for me, but gosh the pumps now seem awesome, so that it is something she might want to try. I supplemented with formula so that my husband could do some of the feeds, that helped.
