Clonazapam

Is this medication addicting.

Yes, very much so. I hope whatever you may need it for, that it does the job. It is very effective, despite its addictive nature. My son takes it to help him control seizures, but I know it has many uses. I wish you luck if you, or someone you know, has to take it.

RE: Clonazepam.
Clonazepam or Clonapin as it is also called, Is physically habit forming. To use the terminology the doctors prefer.

It is a very mild form of Benzodiasapine usually prescribed as 1/2 to 1 mg. tablets, once or twice a day.

"look it up on the net"!

Technically it is an anti seizure med, but it is often prescribed for nervousness, shakiness, or anxiety. One of the better known and often recreationally abused forms of Benzodiazapines is Xanax. Which is much stronger and much more habit forming. If your having an anxiety attack and you take a Xanax in about twenty minutes you will feel relaxed and like all is well with the world.

C-pam is essentially the same thing only no where near as strong. If your used to taking it. It works very well for its intended purpose. How ever abrupt cessation for about three or four days, Will leave you with some quite unpleasant feelings.

Yes I have had this experience several times now when I am lax in getting my refills on time. My doctor tends to skirt around the addiction or physically habit forming issue. I have taken it for many years now and have had very adverse effects when I lapse for 2-4 days. It relieves my anxiety but I am afraid of the longterm. My doc tells me that I should just be glad that it is around to help me. So, I guess that I will continue believing that all is well if she is not too worried about it.

Thanks, Trick
