"Eat, Pray, Love"

Last night I curled up on my sofa and finally watched "Eat, Pray, Love" starring Julia Roberts. I read the book by Elizabeth Gilbert, but a close friend recommended that I watch the movie because it takes it to another level. There are so many important messages that we can all benefit from in this movie, it's truly touching and so amazing. It gave me a renewed hope that fulfillment and love is truly possible, as this is based on Elizabeth Gilbert's life.

The key messages that I took away from this movie are;

- if you are trying to get over a relationship and heal but can't stop thinking about them, then when you do think of them; send them "light and love" and "drop it" [meaning your thoughts about them]. this can also apply to someone who hurt you and in order to move on you need to forgive them, thus sending positive energy ("light and love") will help you in that process.

- it's important to control our thoughts, because if we can't control them then they spiral out of control thus really losing sight of and control of our lives. this can be achieved through practice and meditation.

- life is all about balance and finding yourself, but it's ok to be somewhat out of balance for true love. because, it's a good out of balance.

- true love and fulfillment is out there for all of us, it's up to us to work on ourselves and get on a positive path so that love can walk in.

Wishing you all lots of love and light!
