The next couple of weeks I get to explore my self-destructive behaviors.
They are desperate attempts to regulate our traumatized nervous system. Self-destructive behaviors produce feel good chemicals. It helps to control the powerful forces inside.
The self destructive behavior I still do is self medicate. It's hard to stop. Sometimes my symptoms drive me really crazy (I'm getting help though)- I really want to heal very fast but I know it takes time (as frustrating as it is sometimes).
I hope this help me address more of the issues I have.
Goals:
-Deep breathing
-Mindfulness
-Going out and enjoying nature (hopefully if weather permits)
