I feel like everything I do is wrong

I feel like everything I do is wrong, or all I’m good for is upsetting people, like I’m a lost cause. It gets really lonely 'cos I’ve got trust issues and struggle opening up. I constantly feel on edge like I’m being talked about or laughed at (every time I hear laughter, I wonder "are they laughing at me? ") I feel like that “odd” friend and quickly get embarrassed, and I think my anxiety is pushing people away. It gets really exhausting. I don’t know what to do.

Have you considered that your friends love you and just want the best for you and it is your anxiety that makes you feel they don’t? Getting on medication and trying therapy are both amazing steps in the right direction. Consider meeting with a psychologist to discuss a diagnosis, medication and therapy. Once you decide if medication is the right fit for you, you can look into therapy either in person or online, there are so many great options to fit everyone’s budget these days. -SG
