I had surgery to remove colon cancer. I still have some colon left. I am on chemo now- Xeloda - pill form, and am having tremendous gas. I understand stomach pain is common with this drug. Is that from the gas?
gas is usually the result of decaying plant material that you've eaten, so i don't think the xeloda is causing the gas, it's not listed as a common side effect of what i've read either.

has a list of the side effects, at least discuss it with your doctor on what's going on. And ask questions on if there is a relationship between this pill and what you are suffering from.
I feel sorry for what you had to go through, take care and ask any question to the doctors no matter how small. Make sure you make them understand what you are going through by communicating with them.
