I need a switch

When I feel sad and down I need something in my life to make me feel like I don't need that drug in my life. Any ideas what would help? I know talking to my friends always makes me feel better but I don't want to bug them all the time.

Telling yourself you don't need that drug is a good first step, but you must tell yourself often till it sinks in to the point you can focus on other things that are good in your life, if you have family and friends they will understand if you want to hear all about there day to break the focus on needing or thinking you need a pill, We all can get addicted to something that tends to take over an therefore becomes a part of us, most are called bad habits others sickness, I know someone that is convinced she is in-love with someone despite her being happy and in-love with her husband just because she thinks about them a lot, her focus is off and needs to be redirected toward her husband more. now in just what i have just told you however long it kept your interest in thoughts you was not thinking of needing something else like a pill or what ever, I do hope you understand my point, my best to you in your daily struggle as we all have something our-self to struggle with. take care you are not alone.

i want to share something that i do myself. i am still struggling and still fighting but this little thing i do helps me keep going.
i love to draw and write and have developed this habit of always carring some sort of drawing utensil and paper with me.

i have a small memo pad not.bigger than my palm and i take it with me everywhere i go. i write down absolutelt everything that makes me smule laugh or feel good. i write the dates and put simple things like
" went to the store, a man opened the door for.me"
" all my favorite songs on 87.7 played in a row."
" a bird outside responded to.my whistling"

i feel as though its easier to remmeber the thing that keep us down rather than all the small things that make us smile.
i feel its worth sharing.

i really like this idea i am going to try it! I usually write like journal and poetry but good lookin’ out!!!I am not on pain killers any more I am takin suboxone for a month now but this will help to keep a positive twist on things.
