I see it in her eyes, a far away sadness. She says she loves me but I know she loves someone else. Her true love is out of her reach but still occupies her heart. I so much want to hold her and tell her it will be alright but I know it won’t. We will both forever want, her wanting him and me wanting her.
This is such a hard situation to be in, where you love someone who cares about you, but loves someone else. They say if you love something let is go, but we want to cling, we want to change things, but is it really fair to yourself to ask someone to settle? Is that love? No, not really, it is mostly fear of being alone.
