Not getting interviews. I was fired from my last job butvi wonder how they can figure it if apply out of the area. First a hate crime is committed against me n then I can't move forward. What a monster. We humans r beasts once we have power. I won't forget this. I will never fire anyone ever. Not me.
Thats a good question & I too would like to know the answer. Is there some internal internet way that new prospective employers would find something or are they just calling referrals & the old company? hummm
My referals would not mention I was terminated. The company is legally prohibited from saying I was fired. The can only say my dates of employment and my job title but if the know someone personally who is not management then they will b able to hear that persons news or opponions
They may be able to tell a lot from the resume too
i got fired once from a job once, because i called my supervisor a "F*cking b*tch". however, I did not say it to her face, or even in the same building. I felt I was set up. they already had me putting up help wanted flyers, a few weeks before that. So, basically I think they had it out for me.
I applied to my next job, which I stayed at for 3 years. when I interviewed for it though, I was so worried about what to say, if they asked me what happened at the job before it.
my simple answer: there was a problem with communication. It was not clear as to who was really running the show. And therefore, If hired for that next job, I want to be clear as to who I am to report to daily.
see? easy as anything. Bosses, that interview you, know very well, as employees we all f*cked up at one time, or another. As long as you show you are CONFIDENT... and clear as to what you want.. they will begin to show interest.

Wow. Some story. But I'm not even getting interviews. I will however remember that. It is illegal in my state for my last employer to say I was fired. But if they know someone there that is different.
We shall c. I don't tell people, because unless they know someone personally at my last job who is not management, they should never b able to find out I was fired. I have good references from other superiors and coworkers too and they will not mention anything negative. Still something is up. I think they can surmise a lot from looking at my resume
It makes me angry someone squealed on u calling ur boss a name behind her back. Everyone does that and most people r not fired for it. The person who squealed on u is a rat fink.
I have been on many interviews in the past 8 months and never get call backs. I apply on line, I apply in person, sometimes getting an interview, but no call backs. I think when you are unemployed no one want's to hire you. And the longer you are unemployed the harder it is to get a job.
Its so unfair!
