Overwhelmed, I just recently realized that I have a severe shopping addiction, but with that comes some horrible past memories of sexual abuse and telling my Mom and her buying me something to make me feel better. I also had an affair with my boss that lasted 5 years and in the last 3 years would just go crazy and buy my husband stuff out of guilt for the affair, which has really hurt us financially and he still doesn't even know how far in debt we really are. I've never told him of the affair or the past abuse, and I've never sought counseling for it either, it just kind of all ran together, all at once. I just need to vent.
