Pets and Depression

I have 3 cats. The youngest one takes up alot of time with me. He is almost 5 months. I find having him has helped some with not being depressed. Has anyone else found having a pet to help with depression some?

Our dog is the cuddliet creature in the world, when we wake every morning, she is there wagging her tail delighted to see everyone..the whole neighbourhood love her.

And on days when I'm blue she sits beside my bed and stays with me, it's like she's checking on me. I love her to bits, would be lost without her. No judgement, no questions...just fluffy love:)

So glad you have a pet that cares too.

oh yes...I would be lost without my pets. I like them more than most people...lol. Hugs!

I have had this on one of my pages for years:

The more people I meet
The more I like my cat.....

Glad to know I am not alone. But it is sad in a way that we feel that way. But I am glad we have our pets who are less judgmental about us and love us unconditionally.

Great Reasons to love pets.
1. You can make silly voices in front of them and they don't look at you strangely
2. You can sing at the top of your voice in front of them.
3. They can't speak
4. You never have to worry about them not calling/texting back
5. When you give them attention, they lap it up and go for more
6. They seem to never be in a bad mood
7. They are so adorable.
8. When they are jumping all over you, they are normal just after food or pure attention.
9. They do weird little things that make you laugh
10. They are best company in the world.
