(possible trigger in the second paragraph) Would aborting a suicide attempt just before the point of no return be considered a failed attempt, or something else entirely? I tried looking this up, but I can't seem to get a consensus (likely because most failed attempts are due to external sources).
I've twice sped towards a concrete light pole (70+ mph), but swerved back onto the road just before I wouldn't be able to recover--both times I was in the mindset of "wouldn't it be funny if..." but I essentially told myself that it wasn't time yet both attempts. What would this be?
To be clear, this all started due to me not being....well, I'm more so thinking about the action itself.
