I've been smoking since i was 12 years old. I am now 34. I feel like i need to smoke all the time...i go thru a pack a day and get anxiety if i don't have an extra pack laying around.
I need to quit. I have tried before and have failed, i've used the patch and it worked for awhile but i always missed smoking and went back.
Hi! I've had friends go through the process of quitting after many years of smoking and one thing that they said worked, was weening themselves off of smoking and not going cold turkey. Cold turkey didn't work for them, so they did the patch and gum to replace smoking slowly but surely. It took one of my friends 6 months to quit and now they're completely done.
Like with any life change, I am a huge advocate of taking baby steps to ensure that it sticks. That's what's worked for me and my friends.
I am so happy that you want to take the first steps to quitting. I am here to cheer you on!
I'm just tired of it.....depending on them day after day. I want to improve my health, my next step is to stop eating junk! i have the worst diet of anyone i know. My cholestrol is very high and i'm only 34. I want to make it to 40!
I went to a fair yesterday and had a deep friend peanut butter and jelly sandwich lol no good!
Hello there! I can understand your frustration and how you are feeling. I know that you can make the change in your life and you will get there. I've posted tips in weight loss and there is such a fantastic group there supporting one another. Take it one day at a time and one baby step at a time. I know that you will get there...please let me know how I can help you through this.
hey single chicky, I used to smoke. I quit because I got to the point where every time I inhaled one, I could feel it killing me. My lungs and chest were hurting, so I had to quit. I used a patch, and that worked, then I started back when my dog was in the e.r. I quit again with the lozenges, and got hooked on those, and had to use the patch to get off 'em. I still suck on peppermints now because of the oral fixation I developed with the the lozenges.
If you really want to quit, you can. Keep quitting until it sticks. Quitting is easy, it is staying quit that is the *****.
The junk food is way harder to quit, do they have a Cheetos patch? Or a pizza patch? Later
i wish they had a cheetos patch! i could use one of those too! Thanks for the advice! I feel winded and like crap so i have one last cig and i'm not buying anymore :)
